In Level 2 we explore Gait and the movement of the Feet, Pelvis, Rib Cage and Skull in relation to timing with each other. This is an exact and essential element for organising your posture. We will also introduce the value of using the Breath and a Mindful Body Scan to help connect with each area of your body.

Again, this is the first time Get Into Your Body Workshop Level 2 has run online so it's an exciting opportunity to continue learning as a group from your own home. We will keep the same participants and keep moving forward.

Now lets bring the knowledge you have learnt in Level 1 and put it together simply standing with both feet next to each other. Also introducing Mindfulness Body Scanning and the Breath to explore at a deeper level what our body weight, joints and muscles are doing. How might we hold and contract these areas without even realising it? In turn unconsciously tightening the very areas we want to release.
Here we will look at the support of the ground and the feedback it can give our body when horizontal, to enable you to align all of your joints whilst resting in Sagittal Plain. We will then look at Sagittal Plain vertically, using a wall behind us, to aid our understanding of where our structures are in space and moving from that place in Sagittal and Frontal Plain.
We will focus on the timing and how to get the rhythm of the cogs in Frontal Plain as well as distributing our centre of mass correctly,. We will begin to clearly feel muscles loading. We will also look at how our Breath internally impacts our Gait from above our Pelvis.
In this workshop we will bring all plains of movement together in the Cogs. We will also look at the impact of our Jaw on the movement and tension in every other part of our body. To aid this we will go through a Neck and Jaw Mindfulness Scan, to help you assess and understand the connection with the rest of the Body in you Gait Cycle.
You now understand Cogs, you also understand how the breath interacts internally with your superficial movements. So let's get you moving in each direction of the Clock Face and see what is possible. At this point, you can begin to adjust and understand where your body is limiting your movement and the impact of your centre of mass has throughout your body in each direction as well as the ground.. We will also have a Mindful Walking Body Scan to help you slow everything down.
Here we arrive at the beginning or where so many physical exercises begin. Lets now look at Quads, Hamstrings and other Muscle Groups, however you will now do this with your internal knowledge of your own body and how you can access your own unique range of movement and listen to your body to take care of it!
