In Get Into Your Body Workshop Level 2 we will look at how different parts of your body are designed to move in relation to each other.
Where are you now? What have you learnt so far? Let’s Get Into Your Body and continue the journey………
GET INTO YOUR BODY LEVEL 2 – WEEK 1
Integrating Level 1 & Mindful Body Scan 3rd Feb
We will bring the knowledge you have learnt in Level 1 and put it together simply standing with both feet next to each other. Also introducing Mindfulness Body Scanning and the Breath to explore at a deeper level what our body weight, joints and muscles are doing. How are we holding and contracting these areas without even realising it? In turn unconsciously tightening the very areas we want to release.
GET INTO YOUR BODY LEVEL 2 – WEEK 2
Sagittal Cogs & Lying Down Body Scan, 10th Feb
Here we will look at the support of the ground and the feedback it can give our body when horizontal, to enable you to align all of your joints whilst resting in Sagittal Plain. We will then look at Sagittal Plain vertically, using a wall behind us, to aid our understanding of where our structures are in space and moving from that place in Sagittal and Frontal Plain.
GET INTO YOUR BODY LEVEL 2 – WEEK 3
Frontal Cogs & Rib Cage Scan 17th Feb
We will focus on the timing and how to get the rhythm of the cogs in Frontal Plain as well as distributing our centre of mass correctly. We will begin to clearly feel muscles loading. We will also look at how our Breath internally impacts our Gait from above our Pelvis.
GET INTO YOUR BODY LEVEL 2 – WEEK 4
Integration of Cogs & Jaw Body Scan, 23rd Feb
In this workshop we will bring all plains of movement together in the Cogs. We will also look at the impact of our Jaw on the movement and tension in every other part of our body. To aid this we will go through a Neck and Jaw Mindfulness Scan, to help you assess and understand the connection with the rest of the Body in your Gait Cycle.
GET INTO YOUR BODY LEVEL 2 – WEEK 5
Gait Cogs In Clock Face & Mindful Gait Walking, 3rd March
You now understand Cogs, you also understand how the breath interacts internally with your superficial movements. So let’s get you moving in each direction of the Clock Face and see what is possible. At this point, you can begin to adjust and understand where your body is limiting your movement and the impact of your centre of mass has throughout your body in each direction as well as the ground.. We will also have a Mindful Walking Body Scan to help you slow everything down.
GET INTO YOUR BODY LEVEL 2 – WEEK 6
Cogs and Muscles In Clock Face – Mindful Gait, 10th March
Here we arrive at the beginning of where so many physical exercises and workouts begin. Lets now look at Quads, Hamstrings and other Muscle Groups, however you will now do this with your internal knowledge of your own body and how you can access your own unique range of movement and listen to your body to take care of it!
WORKSHOP 7 – E-MOTION AND PHYSICAL HOLDING
Why is your body not perfectly aligned?
Your body is holding postures that may interrupt optimum movement, resulting from physical injury or emotional holding, eg grief. In this last Workshop, we will begin to help you identify how this shows up in the alignment of your body. Using the Flow Motion Model, you can begin to revisit reactions from the past that are imprinted in your body and learn how to lesson the hold these imprints may have on your movement and ability to create optimum alignment.
