What techniques will we use?

The Get Into Your Body 7-Week Course is going to address the underlying causes of your pain or lack of mobility. You will see immediate results in the way you move and relate to pain in your body.

You will learn to self-assess and adjust the mechanics or your joints, and experience how this immediately switches your muscles on and off correctly.

The real value is that like learning to ride a bike, you learn it once, but your body remembers it forever.

Again and again, participants ask why their Doctor or Physio has never told them or show them what is in this course.

So I am thrilled that you are ready to take the first step of The Ixchel System and Get Into Your Body!

Throughout Get Into Your Body Level 1 you will learn fundamental movement practices along with biomechanics theory, ensuring you understand the basis of biomechanics self-assessment and how your centre of mass has the power to hinder or heal your movement and balance.

As the course progresses, you'll piece together exactly how pain conditions and emotional stress lock your body up. You'll discover the key to releasing habitual movement patterns that could potentially damage your body or simply hinder your performance in sports or other daily activities.

Module 2 – Mobilising the Hips & Pelvis

Module 5 – Shoulders & Arms

Relevant to conditions including Frozen Shoulder and Rotator-Cuff Injury.
In this fascinating workshop, we will dismantle the shoulders so that you understand the specific movement of your shoulder blades and how they can move independently of your upper arm shoulder joints.

This workshop creates a profound shift for your upper body, giving you the power to finally release tension and stuck muscles that have simply forgotten what's possible for your body.

Module 6 – Neck Open/Shut

Relevant to conditions including Chronic Neck Pain, Headaches, Migraine, Dizziness, Social Anxiety.

Using the Clock Face and Plains of Movement, we will begin to explore how your neck and your chest or rib cage often move as one unit.

Frequently Asked Questions

These are some of the questions people most frequently ask us:

How much time do I need to do the course?

You need a minimum of 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week, and then 1 hour a week for six or seven weeks to meet with your practitioner.  You will then simply use the movements in your daily life.  Initially you can practice them standing in a shopping queue, crossing the road, or when you stand to brush your teeth.  These are the movements and alignments you should be using in your basic day to day life.  You do not need to go to a gym or a studio to practice them.

How do I know if the program will work for me?

This is an educational program and  if you go to our testimonials and stories you will get a very good idea of what to expect from our participants.  What we can promise you is we will educate you to realign your whole body.  We can say 100% that a bi-product of this is pain relief.

I do yoga or pilates, so why do I need this?

Yoga and Pilates are stretching or contracting practices for muscles and connective tissue.  We are focusing on your joints, which act as fulcrums at the core of the body.  You will learn to work with the 350 joints in your body, by aligning your bones whilst moving.

Can I just learn the course on my own?

Having a practitioner is crucial for ensuring that you are performing the practices correctly and effectively. Without guidance, it is easy to make mistakes that could hinder your progress. Additionally, if you experience pain, a practitioner can assess the situation and provide guidance on how to address it. The support and feedback from a practitioner can greatly enhance your experience and help you navigate the realignment process safely.

What happens if I can't get it in 7 weeks?

7 weeks is the period for doing your 1-1's.  However you will also be in a VIP 7 weekly session  Zoom Program and you are able to join our community to revisit the course.

When do I take part in the VIP Group?

You can either take part in the VIP Group at the same time as your 1-1's just as you finish them.  People can also start their group at any point during their 1-1's.  However, you can not start the VIP Group before your 1-1's.

Are payment plans available?

YES!  We love a payment plan and want to make the program as accessible as possible.  If you are a Case Study for a Trainee Practitioner and only paying Ixchel for the online course you can have a 2 month payment plan. You will pay your Trainee Practitioner directly for your 1-1 sessions.  If you are on the Practitioner Program you can be on an 18 month payment plan.  If you are doing one of the Level's with Victoria you can be on a 4 or 5 month payment plan for each separate Level.  At this time we do not charge more for payment plans.

If I am a Case Study, is my Trainee Practitioner going to have the right experience for me?

We  only pair clients with  Trainee Practitioners who are fully trained and prepared to work with clients.  All Case Studies are supervised, and the Trainee Practitioners are being continuously assessed.

How can it work online, why can't you teach me in person?

This is not treatment.  We want you to learn your body in a safe and quiet environment.  We want you to watch, listen, or read the practices and information.  You then need to look at your body in the mirror and start to assess for yourself what your body is doing.  You will then be able to share with your Practitioner about your experience and then work on this together.

Do I have to stop doing my existing exercise to do this program?

Absolutely not!  Unless it is clear that what you are doing could be causing more damage in the short term.  However, the point of our program is to help your body function to do whatever you enjoy.  Our clients all says that sports performance in all areas is improved and easier, once they have learned the boundaries of their bones and joints.

Is it the same as Osteopathy or Chiropractic treatment

Get Into Your Body is a program that allows you in essence to become your own practitioner.  Instead of someone else assessing and manipulating your bones and joints, you will be taught to orientate your body and feel into each area.  By anchoring different parts of your body, and moving other parts in different ranges of motion, you will be able to create a lot of the adjustments for yourself.
