Systematic Kinesiology

‘Healthy and Happy’ – Identifying nutritional intolerance's or deficiencies, re-balancing different systems of the body including hormones and digestion, whilst improving energy, mood, weight gain and general well-being.

Kinesiology is the most holistic treatment offered by Ixchel Therapies and looks at the person as a ‘whole’. It assumes that everything in the body is related and that factors affecting an area of the physical body will also have an impact upon the mind and emotions as well as other parts of the body. It can investigate pain conditions and health challenges by reading the responses of muscles when put under light pressure and uses the body’s bio-feedback to gain information about the client.

Whats Involved and How Can Kinesiology help You?

I begin with a thorough consultation to receive as much information about you, your general health and any issues or symptoms you may be experiencing. A series of muscle tests is then carried out to allow me to ascertain how to proceed with the correct treatment for you.

Initially I will test a group of muscles to highlight which area to focus upon.

If a relevant factor is introduced (e.g. food substance or chemical), the muscle’s response can change. Depending on this feedback we can plan a course of action so the muscle can be re-tested at a future consultation. Suggestions and treatment may include nutritional supplements, relaxation techniques, lifestyle changes and more.

Usually a client requires three to six visits with a recommendation to have routine Systematic Kinesiology sessions two to three times a year. However, this varies depending on how much the client engages with the suggested plans.

Why Test Foods and Substances with Kinesiology?

We are testing foods to see which foods will improve and balance the body systems, and which ones could be compromising the same.

"TASK define a “sensitivity” as being a food or some other substance that makes a strong muscle weak and often weaker muscles, weaker still”

From the perspective of Kinesiology there are three types of foods:

1. Biogenic – these nourish the body and energize the person
2. Biostatic – these neither nourish nor harm, and any energy gained from them will be used up digesting them
3. Biocidic – these deplete energy and harm the body, they cause imbalance, and lead to disease

Different people have their own unique responses

There are no such thing as ‘bad foods’ simply foods that suit some people and not others, this is called “Biochemic Individuality”.  Clearly too many processed foods are unlikely to suit people.

Each person could test differently on which foods fall into each of the above categories depending on their own body make-up. So we test to establish what would enable the client to gain optimum health.

In terms of substances, the client could be using house care products, or personal care products, or anything else which could be causing an imbalance, so if there are any signs of this, it is worth testing.

It is also important to note that a biocidic food or substance may be OK for the individual at a later time, after it has been abstained from for a period
