A Big Step Forward: Connecting With Leaders in Injury Prevention & Healing

We’re still buzzing from an incredible milestone for The Ixchel System. Last week, we spent two full days at the NEC in Birmingham meeting leaders in the field of musculoskeletal injury prevention, healing, and rehabilitation — and the experience exceeded every hope we had.

From educators and scientific researchers to practitioners and potential clients, we were able to share our vision, demonstrate our innovative methodology, and invite people to experience The Ixchel System for themselves. Watching people feel shifts in their bodies within seconds was powerful, energising, and deeply affirming.

This event marked a major step forward for us. We began building relationships with educators, researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders who are excited about our work and curious to learn more. Many expressed interest in exploring:

  • collaborative research,

  • practitioner training,

  • case studies,

  • and evidence-building projects to showcase the impact of our method.

Our Stand Had the Best Vibes (Seriously!)

One of the highlights was the atmosphere around our stand — it had some of the best vibes in the entire Innovation Zone.

Our stand was perfectly created from Brighton based businesses:

  • We were proudly wearing our brand-new Ixchel t-shirts printed by the fabulous Fergu at Inglis works,
  • Our stand looked amazing thanks to the beautifully designed banners created by the talented Alice Reeves and printed by the one and only Jim at Printlord.

If you are a Brighton local like us, then get to know!

The colours, the energy, and of course - our iconic skeleton leggings drew people in all day long.

We were also incredibly lucky to have the support of three of our wonderful practitioners — Wendy, Zoe, and Clara — who gave their time, passion, and expertise to help run the stand. Their presence created such a welcoming, supportive energy that people genuinely felt held the moment they arrived to us.

We were also delighted to be visited by Liz, who is currently taking Get Into Your Body Level 1. It meant so much to have current students, practitioners, and community members travelling from all over the UK, to gather together around what we’re building.

A Meaningful Milestone: Our First Speaker Talk

Victoria delivered her first-ever speaker talk, sharing our methodology with clarity and confidence, to present a deeply engaging explanation of how the emotional body and the musculoskeletal system are interconnected — a concept that resonated with professionals across all backgrounds.

She guided people through the foot tripod, showing them how they could switch on their account, activate strength, and find deeper alignment within seconds using The Ixchel System’s principles. These live demos sparked fascination and excitement.

A 21st Birthday to Remember

As if the event wasn’t special enough, it also happened to be my youngest daughter Sophie’s 21st birthday.
Despite dragging her up to the NEC, it ended up being a wonderfully memorable way to celebrate — filled with energy, fun, yummy food, and the buzz of innovation. Sophie even got to enjoy a lovely hotel room, which felt like a birthday treat in itself.

Surrounded by inspiring people, exciting stands, and a whirlwind of activity, it turned out to be one of the most unique birthdays ever!

Friendship & Family in the Innovation Zone

One of the unexpected joys was how many of our stand neighbours were also family-run businesses — just like us.

As many of you know, Ayala (my daughter) works full-time in our business, and it was heartwarming to meet other family teams who share a similar passion and vision. Among them were:

  • the brilliant family behind FiveKind massage creams,

  •  Akash, at Therafyx, a young entrepreneur who has created an AI platform to connect people in pain with suitable practitioners and therapy and was running his stand with help from his parents
  • and our neighbour Wayne at Moi Therapy, who has created incredible (Olympian endorsed!) tools for trigger points and deep tissue massage.

We shared laughs, stories, support, and plenty of fun. A big thank you to all our neighbours for making the two days such an enjoyable and memorable experience.

The Only Mis-hap!

We were SO excited for our Ixchel branded lollipops which we were going to have on our stand, however unfortunately they didn't arrive in time to take the up to Birmingham with us :(

But do not fear, we already have an incredible event lined up for them coming up in 2026 so... stay tuned!!!
