Are you sick and tired of the same old pain?  Whether it is getting out of bed in the morning, bending down to put on your shoes or doing up that bra strap!

Maybe it’s when you go for that run, or those annoying headaches that come back time and again……

With the best of intentions, do you go to the gym, or some other exercise, only to get stopped in your tracks by discomfort in your body?

If this is you, then you may have realised that as you get older, your body has adopted some unhelpful movement habits which are now mumbling or even screaming to you in the voice of your back pain, shoulder pain or ‘whatever the pain’!

Even more unhelpful, is that you might not even realise that the way you walk, sit or anything else, could be creating the discomfort completely unnecessarily.

Get Into Your Body and Level 1 is an ‘absolute must!’ So you reset your body so you can enjoy all the years ahead of you.  It really is such a special process. 

It is definitely not for you if you want magic ‘fix me now’ pill.  You are going to need to be willing to take part and spend some time getting to know yourself.  However, in 10 minutes a day, you could wake up your body and change a few essential movement patterns.  

Once you know it, I promise you it will become second nature and good movement will become just as natural and ingrained into your mind/body brain, as the bad movement that created your pain.

It’s so exciting because Get Into Your Body simply teaches ‘you about you’.  You are the one person you are always with……   your relationship with your body is the one relationship you will always be in.   You will learn how to understand and awaken your back, shoulders and everything else. Imagine your back and rib cage moving each other to release pain…..   Or how your shoulder joint and shoulder blade can actually let go of tension if they remember how to move together correctly..

We could get all nerdy and say it will realign your Gait and get every Joint in your body moving in three planes of motion.  But what on earth does that mean I hear you cry?!?!?!?

Well, it’s simply that with the odd exception, nearly every joint in your body is designed to move backwards and forwards, side to side, and rotate in opposite directions.  But guess what….  very often, whether it’s because of bad sitting habits, or a twisted ankle, or just doing the DIY, somewhere in your body a joint has got to a painful place, your brain has tried to protect that joint by not moving it, or putting pressure on it.  Then, when it has healed, the brain forgets to get it moving correctly again, and the other parts of your body that have taken the load, continue to take the load, and movement pattern is set up…..  the original painful joint has forgotten to move in one of those planes, never to remember again.  This sets off a domino effect, where all the joints have to rearrange themselves.  This will protect an area of pain initially but sets up some very unfortunate movement patterns, that can then inadvertently create different pain sometimes, days or even years down the line. Often, to try to protect and another area that is no longer in pain.

How does the Course Work?

On Zoom you will be taken through a Course of 7 Workshops, where you will be taught about your body, how it is designed to move, how to identify what’s not moving and how to realign it.   

I will be there to teach you, but more importantly, I will be watching your movement and telling you what could be readjusted to help improve posture and mobility.  By the time we visit each joints ability to move in each direction, you will be the expert on what you can and can not do!

As well as the movement I will be taking you through some of the theory of the Biomechanics of your body, so you begin to understand the basis of biomechanics and how your centre of mass has the power to hinder or heal your movement and balance.

I want you to learn and begin to piece together exactly how pain conditions build up and give you the keys to release habitual movement patterns that potentially damage your body, or simply hinder your performance in sports or other daily activities.

For the duration of the course you will also be able to access the Online Platform with recordings of the Workshops and extra learning to do at home.  With Visual Self-Assessment Downloads, you can record exactly what your body is doing, and how it transforms during the course!
